**ROPN-IX** or the **Romanian Open Internet Exchange**, is an open IXP located in Romania.
It's main goal is to offer the possibility of interconnection for it's members free of charge* without membership or port fees or any other absurd costs.
For the moment, we only allow Electric (RJ45) 1 Gbps ports and 10GbE SFP+ Ports.
* For the moment limited to 1 Gbps ports or 1x 10GbE port.
Operating **AS60113** for the route servers.
Peering with the RC is mandatory for all members.
* Joining to the IXP via a LayerBridge VM is possible: **[ROPN-IX](https://mserver.ro/cart.php?a=add&pid=164)**.
